Malnutrition may result into:
Increased risks of infection and infectious diseases and moderate malnutrition weakens every part of the immune system. example it is a major risk factor in the onset of tuberculosis and also it affects the transmission of HIV/AIDs from mother to child.
Not only this, but also mental retardation, since it lowers body energy which leads to impaired functions of the brain.

A severely malnourished child lies on a bed: With more children being admitted to hospitals because of malnutrition, it has become a cause for concern.

Despite the effects of malnutrition listed above, prevention can be taken so as to avoid its disorders, which include; doing regular physical exercise in order to avoid overnutrition, taking balanced diet, mothers should breast feed their children for six months and above and also education should be provided to the individuals and the society at large about malnutrition.

  2. Social cultural practises should be strictly abolished especially to remote areas where there is no enough knowledge of malnutrion this will ensure that pregnant mothers are not limited to food(food taboos) they eat hence they will consume proper diet contains proteins vitamins carbohydrates and mineral salts thus reducing delivery of premature and under low weight babies

  3. It's complicated.... Every country in the world is affected by one or more forms of malnutrition. Combating malnutrition in all its forms is one of the greatest global health challenges. Women, infants, children and adolescents are at particular risk of malnutrition. Our country and the World needs to ensure that trade and investment policies improve nutrition, building safe and supportive environments for nutrition at all ages. Also strengthening and promoting nutrion governance and accountability everywhere.

  5. We have to take professional guidance from the pediatrician. If your little angel in constantly losing her or his weight day by day, consult your doctor immediately. Just keep a close track of your child’s growth processes. Any abnormality or sudden weight loss indicates the onset of malnutrition in your child.
